My Second Life Year In Review | 2023

Last Updated on: 13th January 2024, 01:38 pm

Can you believe another year has flown by? It feels like just yesterday when I was penning down my thoughts for the “Year in Review” of 2022. I contemplated not doing a similar review this year since I included a brief one in this month’s X-Girl Monthly Magazine. (You can grab your free copy by clicking here). However, I still feel the urge to take a more in-depth look back at the rollercoaster ride that was this past year. My journey in Second Life has been nothing short of extraordinary from the start, and it’s hard to express just how amazing it has been fully.

That’s not to say it’s been all sunshine and rainbows. Like any journey, it’s had its fair share of bumps and stresses. We’re currently in the quieter part of the year, post-Christmas, when spending tends to slow down. As someone who has turned this virtual escapade into a full-fledged career, this can be a bit nerve-wracking. But I’m fortunate to be surrounded by a fantastic group of people who, more often than not, keep my spirits high. Now, let’s take a moment to reflect on the whirlwind that was 2023 in my Second Life journey.

Exploring Lovense in My Second Life

Sex, sex and sex. This is what really fuels my love for Second Life. It’s a world where I can freely express my sensuality and I have had some unforgettable experiences this year. One that still makes me smile involves a newcomer named Biggie and his first experience with Lovense.

Biggie was a fresh face on the grid, having joined only four days prior to coming to visit us at the bar. We ended up taking him under our wing, with me, as Dee back then, guiding him through the intricacies of Second Life. I’ve seen many newcomers become overwhelmed and leave, but my own Second Life journey was made easier by a supportive group, and I try to provide the same for others.

Biggie quickly became a member of our X-Girls family, he was there every day and everyone had so much fun with him. After we spoke about Lovense, he decided to buy a few items through my affiliate link here on the site (a big thank you Mr. Snow for the commission), and he was all set.

What followed was nothing short of amazing. While I love my own Lovense Lush and the pleasure it brings, there’s such an exciting rush in controlling someone else’s toy. We had some wild and crazy sex that night at the bar while I controlled his toys, and he later confessed that he couldn’t walk afterwards. smirks Now, that’s what I call job satisfaction.

Enjoying the Simple Moments in My Second Life Year

While all the wild fucking was definitely a significant part of my Second Life journey this year, they weren’t the only highlights. The quieter, more relaxed moments of fun and friendship also played a crucial role in making this year truly memorable. From exploring Jurassic Park with Mel and Chandra, to doing photoshoots with Caleb, shopping sprees, and fun Halloween ghost rides, there were countless moments of enjoyment.

However, one of the best memories of the year was a simple, spontaneous visit to an art gallery. It all started when Raynold, known for his refined tastes and penchant for luxury, stopped by the bar when Mel and I were working. Raynold once hired me to build a manor on a large piece of mainland property he randomly bought. Despite not planning to use it much, he generously gave me free reign of the place. His love for the finer things in life not only boosts his ego but also boosts the X-Girls’ income.

This time, Raynold mentioned an art gallery he had recently visited. So, with it being so late and nothing else to do, Mel and I decided to check it out. We dressed up as classy as we could (for whores) and headed over. Gem joined us after she woke up turning it into a fun early morning adventure.

Despite it being 5 am, spending a couple of hours with two amazing friends, casually exploring the gallery (and admittedly paying more attention to the text beneath the art), was so relaxing. The highlight, however, was discovering a gift shop. My inner shopaholic instantly sprouted a quote from Doctor Who “Oh look down there! You’ve got a little shop. I love a little shop.” couldn’t resist it.The hats, t-shirts, mugs, and paintings and everything else was yelling at me. So, I ended up buying everything I could. It was a simple, yet incredibly fun morning.

My Second Life Wicked Streak

Ah, Bruce. Now, there’s a story that always brings a wicked smile to my face. This particular story unfolded shortly after we opened our Street Whores bar. Chandra, Gem, and I were there, enjoying the new space and having some fun making money. One of my favourite pastimes in Second Life is reading people, understanding their personas, and using that knowledge to my advantage. And Bruce, wandering aimlessly around the sim, seemed like an easy target. So, I invited him into the bar.

What followed was a series of events that would forever change Bruce’s Second Life experience. We teased him mercilessly, with me orchestrating the torment and instructing Gem and Chandra what to do. We stole his wallet, refused to let him leave the bar, and I held him at gunpoint. He was visibly shaken, desperately searching for an escape route. He confessed to being a virgin, waiting for the right person. But under my watch such notions are laughable. We forced him into the back room, emptied his wallet before tossing it back to him, and then each of us had our turn with him.

I rode his cock first until he came and I was certain he was no longer a virgin, then Chandra did the same finally followed by Gem.

That day, I took both his wallet and his virginity. Oddly enough, a few days later, he believed me when I said I wanted to apologize. He returned, only for me to treat him even worse… Now, he’s a regular visitor, especially when he knows I’m around.

A Year With Rach

My Second Life would never have been what it was without Rach and while I miss her so much, she left me with so many amazing memories. Her death really hit me hard and that’s why there haven’t been many blog posts this past month from me. No matter what we did, she made me laugh.

Now, whenever you went anywhere with Rach, you just knew something memorable was going to happen. It was like an unwritten law of the universe. And here’s a funny side story – every time Rach and I went shopping together, whether at a store or some big event, it was like a scripted scene. We’d get there, Rach would spot something she fancied, and boom, my IM would ping: “Jess, loan me 500L until tomorrow.”

I’d end up sending her 1000 or 2000L, because that’s just how we rolled. Then she’d yell at me and insist on sending the extra back. I’ve been pouring over our old conversations these past few weeks, and I stumbled upon one of these exact scenarios. She had asked me for 500L for something she wanted to grab one night.

[2023/09/16 17:39] Jess X (itsjess.skydancer): Anything good this month?
[2023/09/16 17:40] Rachael Ezvalt: pretty much, lend us 500 pretty please
[2023/09/16 17:41] Rachael Ezvalt: 500 JESS!!! pay you back tomorrow
[2023/09/16 17:41] Jess X (itsjess.skydancer): <3
[2023/09/16 17:48] Jess X (itsjess.skydancer): That was fast. Give a blow job in the landing spot?
[2023/09/16 17:49] Rachael Ezvalt: KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO SAY THAT!!!

The night of the dancing boxes still to this day makes me smile so much. It was Zaths first DJ set at the club above the bar and we had both decided to dress like twins. Partly because she would always tell people we were twins and I would go along with it. So we went for the ‘Bad Bitch Biker’ look and headed up to the club. When we got there, we decided that we would be Zaths backing dancers. So Rach with her love of boxes on her head with the faces on them, decided this was our costume. We danced that entire night. Those boxes on our heads never came off and the two of us just laughed maniacally in IMs to each other for hours.

Summing Up 2023

This past year has been a remarkable one for me. It’s been a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, and trust me, there have been some deep lows. Losing Rach was a heart-wrenching experience that still stings. But when I reflect on the year as a whole, I’m reminded of just how fortunate I am. I’m surrounded by a solid circle of friends and a dedicated team of staff members. Some of them, given my occasional bouts of intense focus and moodiness, probably deserve the right to whack me with a baseball bat, but I love them all.

This year, I’ve built a family in Second Life and created so many precious memories. Even if Second Life were to shut down tomorrow, these memories would be enough to get me through. They would be bringing a smile to my face for the rest of my life.

So, without further ado, I present to you the largest photo gallery I’ve ever posted on this website. It’s a journey through the fun times, the incredible people I’ve met, and the countless hours of happiness. (And yes, I’m aware there’s a picture with the Toy, but he falls under the ‘fun times’ category, not ‘amazing people’, so don’t get it twisted.)

2023 was a whirlwind of experiences, and I have a feeling that 2024 is going to be something truly special. I can’t wait to see what it has in store.

Happy New Year from your favourite Second Life Sex Worker,

Jess! xox
