Second Life Roman Sim | Slave Trading in Venusia Magna

Last Updated on: 1st January 2026, 10:29 pm

Itโ€™s been a while since I wrote about my life as a slave trader in the Second Life Roman Sim of Venusia Magna. Every now and again a useless runt wanders into the gardens and gets themselves trapped. Thatโ€™s my favourite kind of luck. I like the hunt, but I like it better when prey falls right into my lap.

My job is simple and brutal: I capture, train, and sell slaves. The Lindens flow up the chain โ€“ fees to the city ordinance, glitter and gold for those calling the shots, and coin in my pocket for doing what I do best. Thatโ€™s how the economy here spins. Slavery is part of the market, and Iโ€™m part of the machine. So, duty called. Time to go back to work.

Morning Hunt | Nets, Traps, and a Pretty Pair of Eyes

Early mornings are my prime time. Most people are still sleeping under their shiny skins, and timid things wander because nobody is watching the paths. Any active Second Life Roman Sim slave trade needs two simple things: a guardn to sound the alarm when someone new walks in, and a slave trader who enjoys the taste of fear. Thatโ€™s me. Roman politics donโ€™t interest me, I only care about the product and merchandise.

This little thing strolled into the gardens, blinking like she owned nothing. Of course, Venusia Magnaโ€™s gardens are full of traps. Theyโ€™re not there to rescue you but to catch you until someone like me turns up. I donโ€™t know her name, and I donโ€™t want to. Names are useless; product names sell better. She snagged herself in a capture net dangling from an olive tree, limbs tangled and her breath fast. The fear in her eyes was gorgeous and perfect. The begging started immediately. โ€œPlease, let me go.โ€ Cute.

Under city law she was now city property and under my control. Most traders sugarcoat it โ€œYouโ€™re safe with me.โ€ I donโ€™t bother. She wore a cheap scrap of fabric and flimsy leather sandals. Those didnโ€™t last. I worked the netโ€™s tears, tore that fabric away, stripped the useless shoes through the webbing, and fitted a collar tight around her throat. Lock clicked. Chain clipped. I eased her free from the net and watched her understand that the garden wasnโ€™t the end of the trap โ€“ it was the start of a different life. She was merchandise now, and I had plans.

Paperwork, Names, and the Market

Of course, before the real fun begins, the formalities must be done. In the Second Life Roman Sim of Venusia Magna, every slave must be catalogued, named, and assigned their future. Some are trained as gladiators, their bodies beaten into weapons for the arena. Some are shaped into merchants, serving the markets with obedience. Others are relegated to the baths, kneeling in service to every citizen who desires them.

But this one? With her trembling lips and eyes wide like a lamb led to slaughter, she was destined for the brothel. A Lupa Romana. A whore.

I gave her the name Philusa. A name for the records, not for me. To me she is merchandise, a body to be sold. The paperwork was signed, sealed, and now came the ritual that every new slave must endure โ€“ the brand.

Branding is my favourite part. The smell of burning flesh, the way they thrash against their bonds, the muffled screams behind the gag, it is the moment they understand this is no dream. They are property. They are owned. And until I decide otherwise, they belong to me.

Once the mark of Venusia Magna was seared into her skin, I bound her tightly, her wrists and ankles hogtied, and left her to writhe in the cold. She will remain like that for 48 hours. Her body pulled to the edge of breaking, her drool soaking into the dirt, her sobs fading until exhaustion claims her. Only then will training begin.

Breaking and Training in the Second Life Roman Sim

The life of a slave trader in a Second Life Roman Sim is simple: capture, break, train, and sell. There is no room for sentiment, no space for mercy. Iโ€™ve heard tales from weak-hearted traders in faraway lands who let compassion cloud their work. That is not Rome. That is not Venusia Magna.

Philusa will serve as she is meant to, as a Lupa Romana, a body to be used by the soldiers, nobles, and citizens who desired her. Fresh meat, or so she claimed, though I doubted her innocence. Still, it mattered little. Once broken, she would be an obedient puppet, an eager whore, and eventually a prize to be sold for coin.

Her future is already written. Some gladiator will boast of owning her, parading her like a victory over the barbarians. Some noble household will use her to display wealth, proof that even beauty itself could be bent beneath Roman will.

And me? Iโ€™ll smile as the silver changes hands, knowing I once again fulfilled my duty to the city. For in Venusia Magna, slaves are not people. They are product. And I am the one who turns their fear into Romeโ€™s profit.
