The Epidemic of Entitled Manchildren in Second Life (Or Just ‘Men’)

Last Updated on: 1st January 2026, 07:52 pm

Let’s talk about shitheads. Not just your run-of-the-mill, garden-variety nuisances – but the elite, premium-cut dumbasses of Second Life: the men. And by men, I mean the emotionally undercooked meatballs who think owning a mesh cock and five “Dominant Daddy” groups makes them alpha material. Newsflash, Darren you’re not the main character, you’re a loading screen.

Now, I could sit here and talk about the empire I’m building on the Second Life Marketplace – Gadget Goblin. I could give you a heartfelt post about how my Street Whores apartment smells like desperation and victory. But no. That’s not today’s mess.

Today, we expose. Today, we dig deep. Today… I am not just Chloe: Goblin of Glamour. Today, I am Chloe: Journalist of Judgment. Because once upon a goblin moon, I flopped into a place called Freebie Galaxy during my mission to get hot on a budget. And what I found?

Unhinged.

So shocking, I had to go back for a second lap just to make sure it wasn’t a fever dream.

This is no longer just about free clothes. This is about truth. This is about justice. This is about me, Chloe, becoming your favourite trash-digging, man-exposing, pixel-wielding goblin reporter.

Strap in. It’s about to get crunchy.

Second Life Turns Men Into Absolute Predators (And Yes, I Have Receipts)

Welcome to the Perv Pitstop

So here’s the tea, served hot and slightly sticky: if you take a fresh, crispy new account – something in that tender 1 to 30-day-old window – and you walk it into any mildly active public sim, you’re entering the hunger games of horny. And you, my sweet untextured noob, are the prey.

Now let’s talk Freebie Galaxy. Sounds magical, right? Like maybe a unicorn will give you shoes and a hug. NOPE. This place markets itself as a friendly starter zone, a place where you can pick up clothes and gadgets before venturing out into the world of mesh boobs and premium addictions. But instead of helpful greeters and outfit folders, what do you get?

Men.

Predatory, persistence-of-a-broken-record men.

There I was, standing in a laggy corner near a wall of free clothes. Silent. Still. A sweet little goblin just minding her business. And the IMs came in faster than I could rezz my hair.

No hello. No “how’s your day?” Just –

“Wanna come to my place?”

Sir, I don’t even know if my nipples have rendered yet.

When I said no, they pushed harder, like sleazy door-to-door vacuum salesmen but with less charisma. Telling me I was being shy. That I “knew I wanted to.” That I needed to stop pretending. It was textbook gaslighting in IM form – trying to rewrite my own “no” into a “yes” just because they didn’t like the answer they got. As if my boundaries were just a puzzle they hadn’t solved yet. Like bitch, I said no. That’s the entire sentence.

Another guy skipped the creepy flirt entirely and went for:

“I’m sniffing you.”

EXCUSE ME?

I am not a scented candle, and you are not welcome in my wick.

In just two hours, I got twenty IMs. All men. All sleazy. All unsolicited.

Let’s be clear – Freebie Galaxy is not a sex sim. It is literally a shopping zone. But that doesn’t matter when you’re fresh out the digital womb, apparently. To these pixel piranhas, “new” means “naive,” and “naive” means “easy.”

They’re not even flirting. They’re testing the fence. Seeing how far they can push before you bite back or give in. And that, my friends, is calculated shithead-ness.

They’re hunting. And the second you stop moving, the second you pause to look at a pair of boots, they’ll find you.

The Goblin Awakens

Look, I wanted to write this post a month ago. Truly. But every time I tried, it came out sounding like I’d just been dumped by a guy in jorts and wanted revenge. I didn’t want to sound bitter. I didn’t want to sound anti-men (That’s Jess’s life). Because I know that somewhere, in the murky depths of the comment section, some crusty warrior of the “NOT ALL MEN!!” clan would come screeching out of the void.

And you know what, Rupert? You’re technically right. It’s not all men. But here’s the truth: we don’t know which ones it is until it’s too late. That’s the problem. So yes, we lump you all together like misbehaving potatoes at a farmer’s market. Don’t blame us. Blame your cock-swinging brothers who keep ruining the salad bar of life.

So why did I finally decide to unleash this literary masterpiece today?

Well.

I popped back over to Freebie Galaxy because I remembered there was some crusty furniture there. I wasn’t expecting much, maybe a lamp and a sadness couch, but free is free and I’m a goblin.

Enter: The IMs.

Again. Instantly.

But one stood out.

He told me I was a pre-pubescent boy. Which, bold move. Then, when I calmly corrected him, he pivoted like a wet sandal and called me a foul-mouthed girl.

Sherlock Holmes could never!

And why did this insult rain from his half-rezzed lips?

Because I had the audacity – the unmitigated gall – to suggest that Freebie Galaxy wasn’t a sex sim. I know. How dare I tell the truth in this economy?

He got MAD. FERAL mad.

Bitch was rocking a Gianni body with unresized mesh hair that hovered somewhere around his medulla oblongata like a confused cloud. And he thought he was insulting me by calling me a noob? Please.

Don’t worry. I took a picture. If you see Mr. Hair-Buried-Deep-Inside-His-Skull then run. Or better yet, hit him with a rude gesture and TP out like the majestic Queen you are.

The King of Shitheads

Decline, Dicks, and Dumb Decisions

Alright, saddle up pixel cowgirls and cowboys because Mama Chloe’s got opinions and a bone to pick with the male species – again.

Let’s talk about how Second Life’s concurrency is dropping fast. You logged in last year and BAM – 56,000 people, peak hours, grid buzzing. Now? 40,000 if we’re lucky. That’s a nose-dive into the abyss. You could point fingers at PBR melting older systems or the servers being held together by chewing gum and a prayer. But let’s be honest, part of the problem is way more hormonal.

It’s the men. Not all of them – blah blah disclaimer – but it’s enough of them. You know the ones. The guys who treat every sim like it’s a brothel, every female like we’re prey, and every “no thanks” like a war crime against their fragile masculinity.

The second you land anywhere, they’re on you. “Hey sexy.” “Wanna come to my place?” “I’m sniffing you.” YES. I GOT TOLD THAT. WHO OPENS WITH THAT?! I’m not a goddamn candle, Barnaby.

They are driving people off the grid fast. They harass, manipulate, gaslight, then cry like babies when you tell them to jog on. And they wonder why no one sticks around?

Sorry if you came here expecting some spicy sex recap – READ THE FUCKING ROOM. I’m now thinking of making a Marketplace gadget called “Shithead Detector”. I’m just trying to live, build my empire, and occasionally throw bombs at stupid people.

See you in the next post unless I get banned for building the “Turd Tosser 3000.”

Goblin OUT.
