Happy Birthday X-Sisters: Celebrating Three Years of Carnage

Last Updated on: 25th January 2026, 09:33 am

Three years ago today, X-Sisters Sex Bar opened its doors for the very first time. I can still remember the way my heart hammered against my ribs as we approached the time of the opening party.

Technically itโ€™s the anniversary of the bar itself. The X-Sisters brand in terms of the business side of things really should celebrate its anniversary on the second of January. Thatโ€™s when Lumi and I opened the first store. We were reckless and full of bad ideas that somehow turned into gold.

For uncensored updates on roleplay, grid economy, and trends, bookmark the internetโ€™s premier Second Life sex blog.

Iโ€™m not going to rehash the whole โ€œgot evicted for selling blowjob vouchersโ€ thing again. Iโ€™ve told that story a million times. It involves a prude landlord and a misunderstanding about what constitutes a โ€œservice economy.โ€ So Iโ€™ll spare you the details this time. But today is the third birthday of a project that for three years has taken up so much of my time. It has consumed my waking hours and invaded my dreams. It grew from a 50 prim store into a multi-sim sex empire.

So, happy birthday X-Sisters and letโ€™s take a trip down memory lane.

X Sisters Jess Lumi

The History of the X-Sisters Brand and Partnership

As time has moved on, things changed. The landscape of Second Life moves like sand so itโ€™s easy to forget that โ€œX-Sistersโ€ might these days be the name of the actual business side of it. But the actual โ€œX-Sistersโ€ are myself and Lumi. There are no other X-Sisters. Although I do always say that Rach was the third even if she didnโ€™t want to take the name. She was there in the trenches with us and held the camera while we committed felonies.

Those very early days were such a rush. It felt like standing on the edge of a cliff and jumping off, knowing you would figure out how to fly on the way down. We had gone from being the top earners at Candyโ€™s All-Inclusive Sex Hotel to opening our own store. We went from employees to bosses overnight. Eventually, we opened a bar. And the funny thing is that the bar was never the plan. It was a decision we made in about 30 seconds of conversation. Hereโ€™s how the exact conversation went that brought the bar into existence.

Me: โ€œThis building will do for the new storeโ€
Lumi: โ€œWe should put a bar above itโ€
Me: โ€œOkโ€

Things were wild. We didnโ€™t have a plan. We had an attitude.

Defining the X-Sisters Sex Bar Experience

People came to X-Sisters because they didnโ€™t know what they were going to get. They walked through the door expecting a drink and a fuck and usually got something else entirely.

The two of us had no problems kidnapping someone. We would tie them up and drag them to a skybox for โ€œinterrogation.โ€ We had no problem blowing them up with a tank. At one point Lumi fired a tank through the window and I remember the sound. It was a deafening boom that sent a barfly flying through the walls. He ragdolled across the sim line and landed two parcels away. I sat there laughing until my sides hurt.

That โ€œwho fucking knowsโ€ energy is really what put us on the map. Itโ€™s what drove us. Itโ€™s what got us to stand out in a sea of sameness. You go to most other escort venues and theyโ€™re all carbon copies of each other. They use the same furniture. They use the same dances. The use similar layouts. They use the same lines.

We wanted to be different because we refused to be boring.

We never wanted to be just โ€œanother club.โ€ In fact, we even banned calling it a โ€œclubโ€ or a โ€œbrothelโ€.

Those words felt too limiting, and they still do. Even to this day, I lose my shit when someone calls the bar a โ€œclubโ€. We wanted to make our own identity. Instead of being known as a club or a brothel, it was really about the entertainment side of it.

Both of us outlined at the very start: โ€œweโ€™re not a whore house, weโ€™re an entertainment venue that sells sex because sex is entertainment.โ€ That very mindset is what helped us grow and gave us permission to be insane.

Reflecting on the Split and the X-Sisters Legacy

Itโ€™s hard not to look back on those early days and wish for things to be that way again. The nostalgia hits me sometimes when Iโ€™m standing in the bar. Not because I donโ€™t love what it all became. I do. But because they were different times. We were simpler then. We were just two girls with guns and a dream.

Lumi and I parted ways in the later half of 2023. Aside from a brief conversation when Rach died, weโ€™ve pretty much not spoken to each other since. Because as the bar grew, we were both ill equipped to deal with it. Success changes people. Pressure reveals cracks. Lumi wanted the place to remain the same. She wanted the tanks and the โ€œjust a fun hangout for friendsโ€ attitude that we started with. I saw the potential for it to grow. I wanted to take it to new heights. I wanted professionalism mixed with the kink and the absolute madness that we create.

That was ultimately what led to us parting ways.

Iโ€™ve never publicly said that. Only a small handful of people know the reasoning. Looking back I donโ€™t think either of us were in the wrong. We just wanted different things. We ended up having different visions on what we wanted X-Sisters to grow into. Ultimately it caused a rift and tore the fabric of our partnership.

But it would be foolish of me to sit here three years after the opening, celebrating the fact that we created this monster of a sex business, and not be appreciative of the impact and the influence that Lumi had. She was the spark and the fire. We were best friends, sisters and business partners. And without both of us together at the start, I think it would have failed.

So, while everyone knows โ€œX-Sistersโ€ as the business brand, to me โ€œX-Sistersโ€ are still just two gun wielding, drug slinging sex workers who wanted to make enough money to buy an island.

The Expansion of the X-Sisters Empire

X-Sisters went from a small store to now being a multi-venue enterprise thatโ€™s stressful at times. I look at the map and I see our footprint.

We have the flagship X-Sisters Sex Bar. Then we have Collar & Cocktail. We have The Loft. We have the sex motel. We have Mel & Ariaโ€™s Drug Store. We have the X-Sisters Store that started it all. We have Street Whores. We have Fuck Forest. We have the Dark Nights app. We have rental properties across the grid and so much more. A lot of stuff going on. Itโ€™s a juggling act that requires constant attention.

And yet when it really comes down to it, the bar is and always will be my baby. Itโ€™s where I feel most at home.

Itโ€™s not always easy. Itโ€™s not always straight forward and stress free. As much as when I write on here I have the ability to pick and choose the highlights and focus on the positives, the reality is hard work. It takes grit and determination.

The X-Girls: The Heart of the X-Sisters Sex Bar

We have had hundreds of X-Girls at this point. Some stay. Like Christina and Chandra who have been here since day one. They are the pillars and have seen it all. Some donโ€™t last a month.

That is simply the way of it. But Iโ€™ve seen some incredible growth in people too.

Not just in the business side of it, but people finding themselves. They discover kinks. They discover strength. People call the bar a home. To others itโ€™s the place they go just to have fun and make money.

X-Girls are a very special breed and not everyone is cut out for it. Our standards are very high. The recruitment process is tough. I make sure of that. But itโ€™s worth it because at the end of it, we get the best of the best.

Thank You

The thing with these posts is that every year thereโ€™s the risk of repeating what I said last year. I could write โ€œX-Girls are amazingโ€ repeatedly. And I do. I write it on the walls. I write it in group notices. That doesnโ€™t devalue the fact that it is true.

To some people, when they step into Second Life for the first time, it feels like a world full of possibility. To others, it feels like just another game.

I was definitely in the first category. I knew that there was so much potential but never could I have imagined that I would create a community that is as amazing, strong or as beautiful as the one that there is now.

From our X-Girls and Barflies to the Skull Fucking Champion. To our former Mister-Xโ€™s. To the users of Dark Nights. To the renters and girls at Street Whores. To everyone who has supported, worked, been a customer of or just hung out once in a while.

From X-Sisters thank you.

And to X-Sisters, Happy Birthday.

Thankies for writing this.
You got me all sentimental and reminded me what I LOOOOOOVEEE about the bar.
Aaaaand then you drop this gem: We were just two girls with guns and a dream. Aaaaaaaaand I fell out of my chair laughing.

Thanks for founding the bar!
I have had many fond memories there and the last week was an abslute blast.
As soon as I stepped into the bar I was in another world. I was a detective in Cyber City not a customer in a sex bar and the girls played right into it.
