I'm a massive advocate for Lovense. I actually pulled the Lovense section out of the guide when I refreshed and reposted it a few weeks ago specifically because I'm writing an entire standalone manual on how to escort using it. I've covered Lovense very heavily over the years, but the business side of it needed its own dedicated guide.

When it comes to my actual thoughts on using them for work, Lovense is an amazing tool to have. When you combine the physical elements with voice, you can fly through that immersion wall.

But while Lovense as a whole is incredibly popular in Second Life, getting hired specifically for Lovense services is not as common. Looking at my own hire and watching the traffic across my various sims over the years, there is a pretty big ratio difference. The public sex sims are generally more likely to have Lovense users. The escorting sims, not so much. The vast majority of paying clients still prefer standard text roleplay. I love using my Lush or Nora during a booking, but the scales are heavily tilted toward text play.

So, for anyone building an escort toolkit, I wouldn't call Lovense a strict must have. It's a profitable nice to have. It allows you to upcharge and increases the earning potential but it's not the be-all and end-all for escorting. Text is still the majority preference and will still net the most income overall.

That is a great question! I'll actually, most likely, add this breakdown to the main escort guide now.

So, finding a good no-poseball HUD is notoriously difficult. Without poseballs, you're usually stuck fighting horrible alignment issues. And obviously with poseballs, without rez rights you're sort of screwed. If you want the absolute best experience for anywhere-sex, I would recommend getting the Sex Everywhere HUD by Warm. It allows you to take the animations you already own out of your furniture and use them anywhere on the grid. It also gives you really precise alignment controls, so you can have a sex HUD that's basically your own custom one. Just a note that setting it up is a heavy time investment, but it pays off.

On the flip side, I would personally steer entirely clear of the VAW HUD system. It is a great concept in theory, but the build is dated and the animations are incredibly stiff.

When it comes to SL sound HUDs, Good Moaning makes the best premium option, hands down. The only downside is that their audio files are almost too crisp and clean. But if you want something that sounds a bit grittier and more raw, GreenTech’s Sex Voice HUD is a really good alternative.

I know you didn't ask specifically about this, but there's also avatar physics and spankers. I don't wear spankers, but I do test them (I test most things so I can write good advice lol). For this, Pretty Liars is completely unbeatable. Their spankers are really good quality. I've also used their Real Body Physics for years at this point, and I don't see myself ever changing. If you're not using physics-enabled furniture like Cuming Soon or Good Moaning, having that physics add-on makes a massive difference.

Hope this helps!

Hey Jess! What about no poseball HUDs, sound add-ons or similar when you're not around adult furniture, for example? Do you use them? Have you found some that are better than others or that are simply worth using?

In reply to <a href="https://www.jessandhergentlemen.co.uk/how-to-be-an-escort-in-second-life/#comment-2439">Adele</a>.

Hey! I’m so glad you found the guide useful!

Rejection is actually a great point, and something we all have to deal with. I’ll probably add a section to the post about it too, but let me reply here too.

First thing’s first: think of yourself as a product, not a person. Yes, I know, that sounds cold as fuck, but trust me it helps. Imagine going into a store to buy some rice. There’s a whole aisle full of different brands. So, you look at all of them, maybe even pick up a few to compare. Ultimately, in the end, you choose the one that fits your needs. The rest stay on the shelf and there's no hard feelings.

It’s the same idea for us as escorts. Clients are shopping. They’re looking for an escort that fits their tastes, their kinks and their needs. Rejection isn’t personal it’s really just part of what we do. Their money, their choice. And yeah, some will pick someone else, it happens. But the same as with the rice, there’s always someone else coming along ready to pick you up and spend.

If you’re an escort to boost your confidence then it’s going to be super tough. Rejection hits really hard in this industry at times and it can grind you down if you’re not ready for it. We've all experienced it, but when you know how to handle it then it makes it much easier. The trick is having patience and to remind yourself that every “no” just brings you closer to the next person who says “yes.”

Bottom line: don’t worry about rejection. Someone who’s ready to throw some Lindens your way is always just around the corner.

Thank god for google translate XD

A recommended rate card is really dependent on you. My rate card for text services is

900 L for a 15 minute quickie
1600 L for 30 minutes full service
2200 L for 60 minutes full service

I would suggest starting around there. One thing you don't want to do is start low and then raise your rates later on because that might push your regular clients away.
